St. Edward Covey Training
Great turn out for the Pathways 5K Run, Walk & Roll on Saturday, October 29. Over 40 CVCS students, families, coaches, and staff participated in this event. Service and volunteering at it's best. Thank you to all who participated.
Habit # 7 is Sharpen the Saw - Renew your mind, body, heart and soul. On Friday, October 28, a day out of school, Columbus Cheerleaders and Girls Basketball Team volunteered at Country View. They sang Halloween songs, decorated cookies and just had fun. What a great way to give back to our community. It was a Win-Win for all.
6th graders at St. Edward School are working on the first step of Service Learning, which is to investigate their community.
After they investigate the community, they will select three issues, invite speakers who address the issues and discuss project ideas that the students could be involved in.
Students will then select one issue to work on the rest of the school year.

Medley is a new group trying to raise awareness of diversity at Columbus. Medley's mission is to reach out, welcome and unite ALL students of Columbus High School by advocating for the right of everyone to be unique. Since September 15 through October 15 is Hispanic Heritage month, Medley held a special prayer service on September 26 to honor Our Lady of Guadalupe and educated the Columbus students of the import role Our Lady of Guadalupe plays in the Hispanic Culture and in our Catholic Church.
